Badge #003: ビートルバッジ (Beetle Badge)

I fixed my graphical errors. I was using the wrong “Shadow Curing” AR code; I was kinda wondering why my shadows weren’t cured at all (lol). Game looks 100% proper now (above is SS that shows proper tree/bush lines + building shadows), so I’m pretty happy about that. Might retake those SS from that cool area in Sanyo City.

Into Yaguruma no Mori. I really dislike the fact that throughout this part of the game, since you’re tracking down Plasma Dan, it plays the Plasma Dan theme throughout all of Yaguruma no Mori. Lame. This place is really notable to me ‘cuz PETILIL.

Hurray! Thank you Yaguruma no Mori!!! Named her あっかりん(Akkarin). Now I have the only two Pokemon that I will use throughout the game. I used one of my heal balls to catch her; the little girl actually gives you three. I let a Pokemon in my box hold one for safety (they removed actual item storage I guess), I used one to catch Akkarin (it’s a pokemon I’ll love and cherish; the heal ball is going to good use), and one is in my bag as a good luck charm. Excellent.

I gave Akkarin a Miracle Seed. She has the ようりょくそ (Chlorophyll) ability, and is ひかえめ (modest; +spA/-atk) in nature. I will EV train her, and I have no idea what her IVs are. くさむすび (Grass Knot) is in Yaguruma no Mori too, so I taught her that. Her other moves will be ねむりごな(Sleep Powder), やどりぎのタネ(Leech Seed), and こうごうせい(Synthesis).

Yaguruma no Mori; completed.

Also, there’s a girl in Shippou City that will trade you a モンメン for your Churine. Kewlios.

スカイアローブリッジ owns. Not sure why the graphics flip out here, but it isn’t like I don’t have a proper DS to play on, too. Good enough I guess, screw emulators. This is nice, also. Very relaxing.

I got Nonowa and Akkarin massages, but like… massaging Pokemon? The hell? Can you imagine “massaging” a petilil? Man, when I get to post-game, I’m coming back here with a Muk or Qwilfish (it has toxic spikes). Or how about a Ghost type? Lol freaking try massaging a Cloyster.

I skipped talking to these NPCs. I thought it might be a bad idea.

One of the best characters in the Pokemon universe, and EASILY the best one in the anime; Largely thanks to あおちゃん！ I can hear her voice in the game dialogue ♥♥♥♥♥! Iris is pretty cute, too. With her constant だもん！／だよ。

I’m going to be Bel Onee-chan’s bodyguard! So, go chase after the bad guys, Onee-chan!

Haa… We got lost.

Iris: This time I’m going to fight too!! C’mon, Bel Onee-chan, too!
Bel: W-waiit…

You know, Iris calls me “Onee-chan.” If you pick a male character, does she say “Onii-chan”? Maybe I should have gone male…

Ahhh, I can’t wait to reach her gym. You don’t battle her in Pokemon Black; what the hell is with that crappy version? lol. I can’t believe it even sold any copies.

This gym is notable to me because of a comic I saw on pixiv. (R-18 warning!) I can only agree with the pierre; this gym leader is a God… That artist has a lot of good Pokemon art (mostly similar to that). Ahhh… what a wonderful gym.

Pretty hard fight.
Wipe #1: Bug thingy destroys me with poison tail. Failed on sleeping it a few times; when he was finally in the red, the gym leader POTTED. Freaking cheats…
Wipe #2: I knew what to expect and pro’d the first bug thingy, and his second shell thingy is no problem for Akkarin, but THIS THING DESTROYS ME. Akkarin didn’t stand a chance (none of her moves even work on grass-type pokemon really, lol); and all Nonowa has to work with is Pound and Sing (fails too much).

Wipe #5: I got lucky on sleeps and got him down to red health so it should be all rig—OMG WHY ARE YOU POTTING AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Wipe #7: Good sleeps, but he potted twice. TWO TIMES I GOT HIM TO LOWISH YELLOW. TWO TIMES HE POTTED. Then I failed sleep, and he critted razor. ASDFKSADLF. If only leech seed worked…
Wipe #8: I accidented and encore’d razor leaf.
Wipe #9: Why. Does. That. Attack. Crit. So. Much.

Yeah, how do you like when I spam Lemonade? Freaking jerk…
